![]() ![]() Knowing now more about what RBG thought and said in those discussions has me very intrigued. ![]() However, I am encouraged to research more about the Supreme Court and what conversations occur in their private meetings about a case. There are a few terms and jargon I was not familiar with and chose to skim when going over the details of particular cases. Super important as more women and/or diversity is elected to serve. Also, with Sandra Day O’Connor and RBG on the bench together for a brief stint, just because they were both women did not mean they had the same ideas and opinions on issues. In this biography, I learned about some of her most famous cases for gender equality in general! Seeing how much her husband supported her and showed how proud he was makes me joyous and hopeful for the future of gender equality along with many rulings made with RBG and with the current Supreme Court. I knew she was a champion of women’s issues and independence, being sometimes the only woman or the first to make history and challenge the status quo. After the loss of RBG last year, I added several books about her to my wishlist. Notorious RBG by Irin Carmon & Shana Knizhnikīesides learning about a powerhouse of a leader and supreme court justice, I learned a ton about our government and justice system here in the United States. ![]()
